John Chen is selected to be the virtual producer for this program. Do you want to improve your PowerPoint slides? Do you want people to be mesmerized by your next presentation? Do you want to learn to be a top presenter? Then you need to register now for Rick Altman’s “Farewell to Death by Powerpoint”.

Rick Altman has been holding one-day presentation skills workshops since before PowerPoint was a thing. He would go into a city, find a small hotel meeting room, set up our little projector and screen, and hope that a few dozen people would show up.

How ironic that it took a global pandemic to make us think, “duh, we don’t really need to fly around the world to do these.” Indeed, our March 16 workshop is open to anyone anywhere in the world who wants to get better at crafting strong messages, designing compelling visuals, and operating PowerPoint more capably.

Across two mornings, this workshop will cover what we consider to be core skills and best practices for presentation, and at the same time, we intend to model the state of the art of virtual learning.

If you watch the video, you’ll see top tips like 1) Say, Show Give – your presentation is the combination of what you say, what you show, and what you give 2) Summarize your bullet point in 3 words or less 3) Look for techniques that powerfully deliver your message

Day One includes four meaty topics covering presentation design and PowerPoint technique. They will inspire you to a whole new way of thinking about your presentation projects, and as is standard for our workshops, they will feature slides submitted by those in attendance whenever possible.

Day Two will be like office hours: two hours of flexible time for us to delve deeper, tackle new ideas, dish, and free associate. Just about anything on your mind will be fair game. We will also take you backstage of our respective studios, in the hopes of inspiring you to reach beyond basic Zoom setups.

You’ll also get a complete set of downloads, fully formatted handouts, a couple of free eBooks, and a chance to win a few nice prizes.

This workshop is perfect for new hires at an organization, those transitioning to a new role, or anyone who just wants a refresher or a crash course on presentation best practices. All for $249 complete, and of course, no travel or lodging expenses.
