Goals: Present more information in less time.
Are you tired of presentations that are too long? Just like how TED talks changed the format for keynotes, PechaKucha has changed the format for presentations.
PechaKucha allows you to show 20 slides for 20 seconds each for a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Your attendees will learn how to communicate more effectively by learning how to transmit the maximum amount of information in a limited time.
Time: 6 minutes 40 seconds–120 minutes
Participants: 1–64; unlimited for audience, presentations of 1–8 people each
Technology: PowerPoint or other presentation software, virtual meeting platform with Share
Screen or projector
Category: Communication, creativity, teamwork, presentation
Instructions: What is PechaKucha? This video at bit.ly/evmpecha gives you an overview. This is a great way to present a new topic, talk about a new offering, or teach a company concept. Also, the byproduct of this presentation is that it’s very easy to click record and the video can be shared as best practices or information. This rapid-fire format is perfect for
attention deficit audiences and “death by PowerPoint,” the poor use of presentation software.
Results can range from hilarious to pure genius. You (and your team) must create 20 slides that advance every 20 seconds and present them.
